Holiday Cheerwine Mojito

As a born and raised Carolina girl, there are Southern traditions and norms that have been with me since I was little. One of those traditions is Cheerwine! It was crafted in North Carolina 101 years ago and has been a favorite drink of mine since I can remember.

The roots run deep with this beverage. It is still privately owned and managed by the same family since the beginning back in 1971 and what’s even cooler is that I know some of them! I actually attended high school in South Charlotte with a friend who is a part of this founding family, so I'm even MORE of a fan these days and really excited to share my recipe that uses this brand as an ingredient.

Cheerwine has been used as one in several different recipes during its long run as a Southern drink favorite, such as popsicles, cupcakes, and even BBQ sauce! The company also creates a special style Cheerwine that releases in November and I love it this time of year. The punch is limited edition, so it's always exciting when it hits the shelves! I decided to use this version to create a festive, fun recipe.

If you've never had the punch, it's basically flavors of Cheerwine, ginger ale, and pineapple juice combined into a punch… YUM. It’s perfect around the holiday season and they sell it in 2 liter bottles for you to enjoy. I decided to take this punch to the next level though and craft an alcoholic drink out of it to enjoy too! Of course I'm going to share all the details below so you can try this at home...

Like I said, I loved it as a little girl, so time to enjoy it as an adult! Here is my recipe for a Holiday Cheerwine Mojito! I listed all the ingredients you'll need to combine with the drink's signature and unique flavor! This newly crafted adult beverage will be the cherry on top of a perfect night for you and a friend or a way to start a romantic date night this holiday. Hey, or you might just want to throw a party and make a big batch! They are sooo delicious.
